Valenzuela Medical Center is now a designated referral hospital for GPP patients. This partnership enhances access to specialized care for GPP patients and underscores the broader commitment to improving the lives of all patients with psoriatic disease.

The GPP Care Network launched as part of PsorPhil's 2024 program, deliberately focuses on forging partnerships with a select group of institutions identified by PsorPhil during its initial year. This strategic approach ensures that the program begins with a strong foundation of excellence, prioritizing high-quality, sustainable care for GPP patients and extending its impact to the entire psoriasis community.

“This partnership exemplifies our shared vision of creating a robust support system for patients grappling with rare and challenging conditions like GPP,” said Josef de Guzman, CEO of PsorPhil. “We are immensely grateful to the VMC leadership for their dedication to this cause, and we look forward to their pivotal role in improving the lives of GPP patients.”

GPP is a severe, life-threatening psoriasis type requiring specialized treatment and care. Establishing the GPP Network represents a lifeline for patients, addressing not only the unmet needs of those with GPP but also elevating the standard of care for psoriatic disease.

“Collaborative initiatives like this are essential to driving meaningful change in healthcare,” remarked Dr. Carolina A. Carpio, Chairperson of the Department of Dermatology. “We are honored to be part of the GPP Network and contribute to improving the lives of GPP patients in the region.”

As the final hospital to join the GPP Network in 2024, Valenzuela Medical Center solidifies PsorPhil's successful launch of this groundbreaking initiative. The program underscores the critical importance of partnerships between patient advocacy organizations and healthcare institutions in delivering impactful solutions for rare and complex diseases.

PsorPhil extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Valenzuela Medical Center team for their invaluable support. This collaboration is a beacon of hope for individuals with GPP and the broader psoriasis community, setting the stage for a brighter, healthier future.
